Project 2 - Auditory Imaging

For this project, we were asked to create an soundscape storyline based on one of six different combinations. The idea is to tell a story from a first-person perspective, using only sounds—no voices or dialogue allowed. The goal is to help listeners imagine what’s happening just through the audio.

The 6 combinations are:

  • Wildlife + Background 
  • Everyday Home Life + Background 
  • Cities + Transport + Exterior Atmosphere 
  • Industry and Electronic sounds + Background 
  • Weather + Background 
  • Market + Rural atmosphere + Background

I chose the theme: Cities + Transport + Exterior Atmosphere.

So my soundscape is all about capturing what it feels like to move through the city at night—starting from a quiet library, going through an urban park, passing through busy streets, and finally reaching home. It’s all about using ambient sounds, movement, and mood to tell the story.
